Barcode Batches

License

The Barcode module requires a separate license to be installed before key parts of the functionality are available. This license is disabled by default. Please get in touch with PCR to obtain a license.

Using The Barcode Module

The Barcode module is designed to speed up regularly performed actions by using barcode scanners on Equipment in the Warehouse. Using Barcode, you can assign specific actions to multiple pieces of Equipment at once, such as adding to Inventory, transferring between Warehouses, or setting Warehouse Action status'. This module can auto-generate and attach scanned items using the Equipment Catalog records. Utilizing this system can speed up Inventory audits and the general management of a warehouse.

The Barcode Batches Grid

The Barcode Batches grid is a read-only grid that shows groups of Barcode Scans have occurred from the Barcode API Endpoint, from a single API call. Barcode Scanning replicates much of the functionality available within Inventory Overview and Warehouse Actions.

Barcode information is stored on the Equipment Catalog (Main > Catalogs > Equipment) for the Equipment expected to be scanned.

To view specific details on a specific Batch, select the Batch in the grid and click the

View Batch
button. This will open the Manage Barcode Batch form.
