Why doesn't PCR-360 use BICSI Telecommunication Standards for terms?

Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Telecommunications Standards. BICSI terminology is a standard of practices for designing, building, and maintaining telecommunication networks. The language that BICSI uses is not considered industry standard by all of PCR's customers and so it is not used. Instead, the language PCR-360 uses carries over from our legacy application COMIT. By continuing COMIT's language within PCR-360, Professional Computing Resources ensures all our language being used is consistent and standardized for our customers. Further, as BICSI is not an industry standard, many of the terminology used is not consistent, making developing a conversion dictionary between PCR-360 and BICSI challenging.
