Add a Service

PCR-360 makes it easy for Customers to select Service(s) they would like with the Service shopping page. These selections can be submitted as a Request to the Customer Service Reps to work on. Administrators can set what Services the Users can see on the CustomerCenter with the Orderable flag in the Services Catalog. Services can also be made unavailable by having their Service Catalog status set to be inactive.

Navigation

There are two ways to open the Services shopping page.

CustomerCenter gives Users two options to select Services that they would like to have installed.

  1. Click the Add a Service link from the Getting Started form, when a user first navigates into the CustomerCenter. All of the available Services in the Organization are displayed.

Note: The link may not say "Shopping" if the menu is customized. All shopping pages can have permissions assigned to them, so it is possible that not everyone will be able to see this page

All of the Services might not be available for all Locations.  Any Services with Location Permissions set, will not be initially shown.  The User can open the location picker to select their current location to view all Services available to that location.

The Cabling Picker will appear on all Service Add Actions, as well as, on Packages. The Cabling Picker is restricted by location on Service and Package Actions. The picker is also restricted by the Service's catalog location restrictions on service actions. The Cabling Picker is not a Required field and will only appear if CC_SHOW_CABLING_PICKER is true.

If you have a Coordinator Role, the owner's Billing Group could also affect availability.

Services will show two types of Charges that can relate to them: the image-20240625-162925.png Charge and the image-20240625-162845.png Charges.

Once a User selects the Service they want, they can adjust the quantity being requested, then click the image-20240625-162812.png button to add the Service to the cart.

The Cart will update the number as well as show a thumbnail of the most recently added item to the Cart.

Adding a Service to a new or existing Request

Users can add services to new or existing Request. Once a User selects a Service they want, click the image-20240625-162812.png button to activate the pop-up menu. You then have the option to "Create a new Request" or you can select one of your "Saved Requests". If you select an existing request, the service will be added to that request. Categories with multiple services may continue to be nested with multiple Services under them.
