Unique Features

The Landing Page and Dashboard interfaces are quite similar but the Landing Page contains a number of unique features.

Alerts & News

One of the unique features on the Landing Page is the Alerts. Displayed in color bars across the top of the Landing Page (see image above), Users can click once on an Alert to read it in full.

Alerts are created by System Administrators and determine which Users receive the Alerts by Role. An Alert can be green, yellow, or red. This represents the 'Priority' assigned by the System Administrator when they created the Alert. Red indicates an Alert of 'Critical' priority, yellow indicates 'Medium' priority, and green indicates 'Low' priority.

The 'News' feature is another way for System Administrators to expose readers to important information and updates via the Landing Page.

'News' behaves similarly to 'Alerts'. System Administrators determine the nature of the content, its priority, and who sees it.

Messages

The 'Messages' tab located on the Landing Page serves as a portal through which Users can send and receive internal messages.

Users can click on the 'View All Messages' button to see a comprehensive list of those messages a User has sent or received. In either the Messages Grid, located under the People Tab or the tab on the Landing Page, Users can click the 'Write New Message' button to launch a Message data entry form.

In the message data entry form, the User can build a message by defining a recipient, a subject, and the content of the message itself. Users can also attachment files to the message.

Keep in mind that Users can only send messages internally. Accordingly, the recipient's contact information must be listed in the user organization's database.

When a user has received a message, an announcement message will flash atop the user's web browser. To read the new message, double-click on the 'New Message' displayed in the Messages tab on the Landing Page.

Users may occasionally receive messages from the PCR-360 application. Consider the example posed by the Admin function 'Generate Bill'. It can take the application some time to generate a large, organization-wide billing report. When this is the case, the following notification is displayed:

Upon completion of the application process, the User will see the the announcement message displayed in the bottom-right corner of their web browser.

Open Service Desk Item

This Landing Page tab provides users with a quick link to My Service Desk. My Service Desk lists those Service Desk items for which the User serves as the Customer Service Rep (CSR). To access the Grid, click once on the item in the Open Service Desk Item tab on the Landing Page.
