Navigate to Main > Services > Data.

Adding and Editing a Data Service

To add a new Data Service, click the Add button located on the Grid Toolbar above the Services: Data grid. For customers who utilize the Service Desk portion of the application, it is recommended that all new Services be added via a Service Order in Service Desk to record a complete trail of the provisioning process.

To edit an existing Data Service, double-click the item or highlight the item (single click) and press the 'Edit Selected' button located on the Grid Toolbar above the Services: Data grid.

Both actions open a Data Service data entry form.

Specific logic and requirements pertaining to the common service field can be found in Fields, Logic & Rules . Data Services have two unique fields 'Data Name/ID' and 'Service Catalog'. The 'Data Name/ID' field is the unique service identifier across all services.

Data Service fields

There are a number of fields associated with any given Service. The User can see a full listing of these rules on the Fields, Logic & Rules page.

Data Service Tabs

When a Service is of the Data type, it has the standard set of tabs on the form. The 'Tabs' associated with Data Services are Charges, Expense GLAs , Billing , Equipment, Cabling, (2024.1) Data#Pools, Contacts, Remarks, Activity, Attachments, User Defined Fields .

Deleting a Data Service

To delete an existing Data Service, highlight the item(s) to be removed and click the 'Delete Selected' button located on the Grid Toolbar above the Services: Data Services grid.
